i had a code come up. it reads evap emission system leak. gross leak/ no flow.

what can cause this and how do i fix this.

the code reader did not give me a code. it has been running like i was going to cut off a couple of time while it was sitting at a couple of lights. giving it gas no problem. i have installed an exhuast system and an intake recencely.

i always get the gas cap light. but this is a new one for me.

i have installed an exhuast system and an intake recencely.

Disconnect the battery for 15minutes. Start it up and let it relearn Idle. Then drive it, see if it relearns how to run.

Highly recommended you get an actual DTC code to isolate the problem.

Many auto parts stores offer this as a free service with no obligation.

Otherwise, you will be changing expensive parts until you get it right. JMO

I had the P0442 code for a long time. Finally turned it in for repair. Went thru 3 gas caps before I got one that sealed properly. (The P0442 is for an Evap System Leak).
