what do yall think

Yes there is a way to check a coil pack.. you will have to do a ohm test to the primary and secondary side of the coil but cant remember the values right now. The easiest way is to pull the wire off the plug take one of your old plugs stick it in the wire now ground the case and start your engine see if it fires.... You might want to check and make sure you have compression in number two..

Also run a resistance check with a vom on the wires. I have got new wires that were bad.

If you bought spiral core wires. They average 150ohms per foot. Oem filament wires. Average 4000ohms per foot.

I never researched how to check, dis coil paks. Maybe one of the parts house have a way to check them. I know they used to be able to check distributers and modules.

If you have the $$ you can get an oem equvlant for about $80.

Double check you havent cracked the plug insulator. easy to do on our 4.0L...
