I've got two plugs remaining to finish the job (2 and 3) and the driver side is done, but I'm wondering if I made a boo-boo on the wire order on the coil pack. Looking from the front of the vehicle, going from left to right...the first row (closest to the front) is 5, 6 and 4....and back row (closest to firewall) is 1,2 and 3. Can someone confirm? 2002 4.0L....thanks

You're correct. Very common to mix up 5-6-4.

Thanks a bunch!!

So far the toughest part of the job is getting the old wires off the old plugs. My new wire set, Autolite Professional, concerns me. The new wire ends that plug into the coil pack are not at a 90 degree angle to the plug boot. Basically bent outward. Anyone fine this too?

Thin coat of dielectric grease in the boot makes removal easy without special tools. $1.50 counter pack is enough for twelve boots. Sorry, I'm using Taylor wires and can't help there.
