I have an AMD Athlon XP 2800 does it take DDR, DDR2 or? It's my work box and I really don't want to take it offline till I close today to find out what it takes.

Since it's a 2800 then it's probably before DDR2 came out.

Check with the board specs. I would guess DDR2. But double check.

Asus board... it was a local built machine. Not a Dell or anything like that. I get all my boxes built locally. This one though they went out-of business.

I agree with Tom T if it's 2800 chip, it's probably on a pre-DDR2 motherboard.

Ran the scan and it's DDR. 72.99 for 1 Gig single chip with 2 day FedEx shipping. Seems fair.



Give me a total of 2 gigs now.
