We borrowed my brother-in-law's mini DVD camera to record the Taekwondo tounament. How do I put a DVD in my computer and post the video online? (like on you tube or whatever)

All I can get it to do is play the DVD. Windows Movie Maker doesn't recognize the format and WinDVD and Windows media player just plays the DVD. I'd like to share the video with co-workers, family, and my MyST family of course. Thank you.

When you open the DVD (right click and say open) in my computer is there a movie file you can copy? I would think you'd need the software that comes with the DVD player to copy it, but my camera saves it as .mov so it's easy for me to copy to the web.

Bart,

You need a DVD "ripper" which is software that is able to read those files and convert them to avi, mpg, etc. I use Slysoft anydvd but there are free ones out there. If this is a one time you can use the free trial of anydvd but if it is software you want to keep do a search for "free dvd ripper" and you should find a couple you can use.
