Computer help:: resizing a programs res. to fit laptop screen

Hey guys, I got a new Toshiba laptop computer. I installed a video editing software in it, but it appears to fill up the screen and beyond - I can't scroll down to see the rest of the program that I opened. Is there anyway I can manually resize my program to fit my screen.

figured I just change the resolution on my laptop down a bit... ugh!!
