Console swap

I currently have the high series console in my truck and I am considering or wondering if I can swap out to a console without the bag (look in projects section for changing out console from a bag to one without) In other works it would be an older console, but with the black dual cup holders/change holder. Is this possible without extensive modification? If I end up not installing a lightbar on my truck I am going all strobe/led. I have a siren, switches, and a radio/scanner I would like to install. However I am not finding any consoles that I like or any real nice mounting options. If I remove my console I have the floor space to mount some brackets and install the equipment that I need in the space between the cup holders and the dash. Thanks for any input!! :driving:

You'll have "some" room but you'll have to make your own mounts. It's not a big issue to swap in a short console.

I have an extra tan console if you're interested but you'd still have to pick up an arm rest off of ebay or similar.

Jared, $50 but the shipping is a killer. I shipped one to NY and it cost me $30+, it had the arm rest though. Mine has no arm rest. That's why I posted the link to that deal.



Slumming over on elightbars are ya??? Once I questioned the power supply not being worth a buck-fifty for a $500 item and a couple responded with those ridiculously low figures my other buyer backed out in a hurry. :angry: They're still on Sirenet for $480+/-......... I'll give it to the VFD for a donation slip. I'm on a lot of forums but the blinky light folks are quite "different"......:banghead:



Let me know if you think you can use the hook kit. Application guides seem to be contradicting themselves. $20

Oh?!?!?!? I was wondering what you meant by the same handle! :bwahaha: I didn't realize it was you! Anyrate I think I can use it... I mean the roof style is the same as the ranger isn't it? FedSig claims that the dakota kit fits the ranger so I should be good? I do like the eLightbars website, but your right... some of those folks are insane. Either they get mad at some of the offers you send, or they sell things at prices that are insane! OH! If I go the vision lightbar route (which I am about 95% sure I am) I wont need to change my console as I will only have that control head to mount.

There's a HK-DKTA & a HKB-DKTA, don't know what the difference is......... The full consoles are nice but they don't allow for much add-on stuff.
