With factory paint jobs there really isn't a 'waiting/curing period' before waxing. You can wax them as soon as you like.

Evan, how do you like the Murano?

My wife wants to downsize from the Mountaineer but wants to keep some style and stay in an AWD vehicle?

Your thoughts so far?

Thanks,

TJR

Evan, take a few shots of the interior. The over-all exterior looks to be a copy of the Lexus RX body. Just curious as to what the inside looks like.

Thanks...

We test drove the Murano before settling on a RAV4 V6 to replace my wife's old Expedition last spring. It handled well and looks great on the outside. Turn-offs were a dash board big enough to land a small plane on and the recommended use of premium fuel to get near the same performance and gas mileage as the RAV4. If Toyota hadn't just come out with the V6 for the RAV then I would have jumped on the Murano.

Q, I have test drove the Outbacks and and my mom used to have a Subaru. It's a little small for my taste, seems underpowered, and the transmission seemed a little clunky. That, and I just haven't been impressed with the reliability of the Sabura (given the one my mom had, and the few people I have talked to that owned them).

Q, I test drove a 2004 Outback last summer. Two of them to be exact.

Both were used, at Carsense, and both had less than 30K miles. Both seemed underpowered and the transmission on both shifted very poorly.

I'll probably test drive a new one when the time comes, Q, but I wasn't too happy with the size, either. For my family of five we are all pretty big folk. We need a pretty wide vehicle or a good size third seat. My two boys are linebackers in size. The Outback seemed "small" in the back seat and not as wide as some of the other AWD competition.

BTW, Q, are you a big guy, or a small guy? I'm 6' and 270lbs. My whole family probably weighs in above 800lbs. The Subaru's simply feel "small" to us.

My two boys (almost 14 and 11 each) and our daughter (6 and in a booster seat) in the back seat of the ST have trouble squeezing in. And since most cars you have for 5+ years we need room to grow.
