crazy noise in lf wheel when driving

recently heard a LOUD noise (like a grinding) coming from my wheel in my 02 spt trc after i loaded it with sakcret and 3 fence poles. belive it's a hub bearing but nise goes away when someone rides with me. WTF:

When someone rides with you, there is different pressure on the bearing than with a load in the back. Jack up the front and check for play. That should tell you which bearing is going out. Good luck Ed

Jack up the truck and hold the wheel at 12 and 6 o'clock and check for play. If there is play then you have a bad bearing. The hub assembly isnt hard to change, took me an hour to do one side. (breaker bar is needed)
