I know this is stupid but can one of you guys tell me where the brake light switch on the master cylinder is located. My cruise went out and all it does is flash on the dash when I try to activate it.

The switch for the brake lights is actually down by the brake pedal inside the car.

I believe there is another switch mounted near the front of the master cylinder, in fact, I believe it is a recall issue as it can catch on fire and Ford is replacing the switch that is mounted on the master cylinder itself.

Thanks guys but the %#* thing started working again all by itself. This was after I took it to the dealer and he found nothing wrong with it and said it worked fine for him also.
