The band is called Speedometer, from England. Most of their stuff is soul and funk instrumentals with a lot of horns. Ria Currie sings on some of their songs like this one.

Well, if I'm cruisin' on the open road, and want to go all-out, pedal-to-the-metal, there's the obvious choice of the Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar:

I have most of this. This thread came about as I was updating my "Driving Songs" on the iPod. Happens to me every year about the time the pollen starts blanketing everything. Thanks for the input.



And may I mention how awesome Radar Love is while driving? Good one, thanks. I have the Golden Earring version and also a Widespread Panic cover.
