Well today the Cowling that covers the window wipers broke on me when i took it off so i was sitting there think about making some outta aluminum scrape, does it sound like a good idea or any warning any thing i have to watch out for other then the washers Btw Gen 1 2001

What is the original made of? If it is ABS, plastic, or some other composite fiberglass material, it can probably be repaired.



Most of the visible repair work would be on the under side and not visible. I certainly think it would be easier and cheaper to repair the old one than buy a new one, much less make a new one out of aluminum?

The glare off aluminum if not painted (that may be a dumb assumption) might be bad.
 
well plan on painting them my plan to make a wood mold based on size and shape use a hammer to shape it, bondo to add the texture then paint basic explanation i have done similar things for a other vehicle but i just wondering what design smooth fllowing or just basic stock lock maybe a more pronoced corners
