D2 OR D4 REAR AXLE

Which of the the drive axles would be better for towing a trailer d2 or the d4.....

Are both of these towing pacages if si which one would be better over the other..?

Ford does not specify which axle is better for towing.



Normally, a 4.10 differential is better for towing, but when you get the 4.10 differential, you get larger tires. Your overall ratio stays about the same.



There was never a "towing package" offered in the Trac. They all came with a 4 pin trailer harness.
