I don't know if it's still like this, but when I lived in Germany, construction workers were allowed to drink on the job.

I remember my Friday lunches back in 1982-1984. I was an electrician at an ambulance manufacturer and the foreman and a couple of us would go to the restaurant/bar across the street and do a six-pack EACH in 30 minutes.

When I was working in Germany, we were allowed two beers at lunch instead of pop. This was in 2001.

And to think that I saw an old ep of 2 & 1/2 men last night, whereupon 2 dudes got wasted on ONE 12-pack of cheap beer.
That's bogus....and I'm torn on whether I'd like beer over soda. If it could be any beverage with alcohol, even just the alcoholic content of beer, I'd approve. Stuff like Mike's is pretty good while having a low C2H6O content.
I'm holding out hope that there's good beer out there, but the stuff I've had has been crap. Hops just taste horrendous to me. Best stuff I've had was Dos Equis, which I got to support the hilarious commercials, if nothing else. (Better than bud/coors/etc)
Public Drinking would be, ah, interesting. It'd at least smell better than public marijuana (God that stuff smells horrendous)
