dash lights going out

The dash lights went out on my wife this morning...got dimmer and dimmer gradually....then went out. the headlights however did not get dimmer. then the dash lights came back on in about 5 minutes. about a week ago I fixed the "tilt steering/harness unplugged" thing with no problems. wondering if it could be related? THanks

Move your reistat up and down a few times. May have been a dirty or poor contact at the switch..
