I take back the bad things I mentioned of NASCAR. I took the time to watch pretty much the entire Daytona 500 (in Hi-def) and was quite exciting especially the final lap. Unfortunately no Fords made the top as they managed to take each other out at the end.

I was able to get into the office just in time to see the finish and I am glad I did it was a great finish. I was really pulling for Martin but I am glad they didn't pop the yellow flag so they got to race to the finish. Newman crossing the finish line on the roof was cool I bet he is glad he didn't end up DNF.

I think you mean Clint Bowyer on his roof..... Pretty good race. My boy Sadler and wife's Kahne didn't end up too bad. Guess they needed to do good to start to help make up thier -25 and -50 point deficet....

I was rooting for Mark Martin to win. The only thing he could have done was bang into Harvick....but Mark has too much class to do that!! He did good considering he was out there all alone. Maybe Harvick's car won't pass inspection!!

I have been a Mark Martin fan for years, I never, ever cheer for a Chevy driver but since Mark still has a Ford Dealership and is the class of NASCAR and all of the sporting world; I wanted him so much to get this win. It would have been the best news for NASCAR after all the controversy last week. So now they will be hearing about how the caution flag should have came out when the wrecks occurred. If it were any other driver that was affected I probably wouldn't care because they usually let them race to the finish but any other lap of the race the caution flag would have been out immediately.

I hear commercials for Mark Martin's dealership all the time... about 1.5 hours away.

My wife's comments went as follows:

"Come on Mark!..... I hate you Kevin Harvick...."

I wanted to see Martin do the Polish Victory Lap (the old timers don't like the burnouts as much).

Yeah, but bad luck always has a way of finding him. 20 laps left, I said to my wife "If I was a betting man, I wouldn't put money on Mark."

I wonder how the Jack Daniels people feel about their car crossing the finish line upside down and on fire? Probably not the first time the words "Jack Daniels", "car", and "upside down" were used on the same sentence.

It was a good race, I would have liked to seen Tony win, however once he was out, I would have liked to seen Rudd and especially Martin, both deserve to win a D 500.

I'll be there next year!!! YEA!!!! :)
