Well I got my 80 Sq Ft of Second Skin deadener, and my buddy had some extra dynamat extreme that we worked out a deal on. So tonight I put the dynamat on the roof. It wasn't exactly fun since I couldn't figure out how to get the headliner out of the truck, so I was stuck working around it. It's done now though, I got 12 sq ft of dynamat extreme on the roof. Next week I will be doing the WHOLE floor with the 80 of SS.

I'll have some db measurements in the next few days to see if it makes a difference for everyday driving. I know for a fact that when it rains it will be quiter in the cab with the roof done. I was doing the knock on the roof test as I deadened and it for sure makes a difference.

FYI. At most of the G.M. Plants that I worked at, the headliner is put in through the

windshield opening before the glass is set.;)

I have started this on mine..But I am using Hushmat...10 times easier to install...no tools needed just peel and start laying it down moulding into the crevisis(sp?) and your done! Took me 5mins/ door....

With all the deadeing material you are putting in there, about how much more weight are you adding to the truck, i am curious because i want to do this, but don't like the thought of extra weight.

The 80 sq ft had a shipping weight of 40lbs. Total in deadening I'd say I'll have 60ish lbs when it's all said and done, and since I only weigh 180 that doesn't put me much over some of the larger folks that drive the ST :)

KCsporttracin: From their website that looks like it's way overprices (at least at retail prices) I paid $187 shipped for 80 sq ft. It would have cost $500 for the same amount from them. They also don't list any specifics of weight/thickness.
