depreciation on my old truck

1993 ranger bought new for $11,700. Sold a month ago for $2,500. Over 13 years that's around $707 per year of depreciation. How's THAT for holding value!

That's pretty good. I bought my 1989 Toyota for $3000 (98,000 miles on it), fixed it up (had some oil leakage and needed a paint job) and sold it 6 years later for $2500 when I got my ST. (I'm not trying to steal your thunder) It's nice when you figure things out and find you got your money's worth.

well guess what not to brag but i got my st for $16000 in 2004 about two years ago brand new and it has 17000 miles on it and i just got it appraised and the dealership would buy it from me for over

$22000 haha wow i really beat the system this time huh?
