Was at the show on Saturday and saw the new ST. First impressions are that I like it, but with some reservations. The one at the show had a solid back window and it had that awful thing they call a shift lever in the middle console. One of the reasons I bought the ST was the opening rear window. I also happen to like the shift stalk on the wheel. It's out of the way and not a showpiece. I don't need a showpiece... Also noticed that it had a Class TWO hitch on it, not a Class 3. 1st thing I would have to replace. Why? All the other pickups have a standard class 3...

Kind of wondering what Ford is trying to do here. They had a product that sold well without much advertising. Why are they screwing it up?

Class II Hitch???

The one I saw in Virginia Beach was a V8 model and had what appeared to be a a Class III hitch and a six-pin wiring harness. Ando you wouldn't be able to replace it, because it's welded/integrated into the frame.

Many have asked that same question. I think it will flop just like the current Explorer is doing. Ford needs to start focusing on basics, such as building affordable, dependable work trucks, and safe and comfortable automobiles. They also need to make the dealers more accountable for poor customer service after the sale. Extending their warranty to 6/60 wouldn't hurt either.

I definitely won't buy the new ST. I'll probably get the new Toyota FJ or another small crew cab from Toyota or Chevy/Isuzu in a couple of years when my daughter starts driving.

I was at the show yesterday. I was able to speak to some Ford employees. I let them know what I thought about the new Trac.

When I seen the new Trac, I thought I was in the VW area. I had a hard time telling the difference between the Trac and the Jetta.
