I just tried to put fuel in my 2005 for the first time.

I could not put the nozzel all the way in and it took a while to fill.

Does anybody have any suggestions why it is like this?

Did you try lifting the Handel up while pushing it in the filler tube?? There may be a blockage in there or the filler hose is twisted...

Try a different station, it could have just been the pump also..

I have run across a Shell station in my neighborhood where for some reason the pump nozzles and my ST just don't get along. I've noticed that the nozzles at this particular station look shorter than they do at other stations. The auto lock will not stay engaged and I have to manually hold the nozzle at a weird angle to get it to fill. It only happens at this one station though so like Todd said I just use different stations instead.

I have noticed some nozzles, are shorter and have more of a curve...I never ran into a cant fill situation on my '04 though...

Interestingly enough my problem was at a Shell station.

I will try Beaver gas on the way home and have them fill and see if they have any problems.

Thanks for your input.
