Even Jap builders are going retro... 350Z anyone? The 240Z (still a great car) was quick, handled well, dependable, simple and didn't cost a lot. The 350Z is as close to that as you can get in todays world of ECM's, airbags and DVD/Nav systems.



I can even argue that the whole retro trip started with the Miata, even though it was a Jap company "retroing" a Brit car.
 
Not only the Miata, but Nissan had a few 'retro' styled cars. But since these cars didn't leave the shores of Japan, no one knows about them and refuses to reconize them.

Who says the Japanese are always copying and never inovating? Those who live life with closed eyes and clogged ears.
 
I appreciate the Jap carmakers a great deal, but don't these remind you of Nash Metropolitans, old Renault's and Lada's?s
