Anyone know where I locate the computer exactly for an 01 ST?



I bought my ST used, and ive never had the code for the door -- I was told it was on the computer (a sticker) is this true?

Remove the passenger airbag and its right behind it with code stamped right on top.

I believe it is different if it is a job 1 or a job 2 2001 Sport Trac..

If a job 1 I thought it was behind the rear panel???

you are right Todd,, job 1's have it on a module almost dead center of the rear panel. that's where mine was

Chris,, the early o1 is a Job 1. Here is the break down of the dates...



The cut-off date was June 2000...June 26 is normally quoted as the "official" date, as this was the last known date for the Job 1s to have been made. Anything later is a Job 2

I had the same problem when I bought my 01 ST. I took it to a Ford dealership where they accessed the truck's computer and found the code. No cost. It took 2 minutes. You can't change it, though, but at least you'll have it.
