door handles

The sport trac I'm looking at was manufactored on 11/27/06, as this is sight unseen I was wondering if that would have the new or old door handles? Does anyone know where I can find that information? I test drove with the old ones and they drove me batty!

All of the 07 Sport Tracs have the same door handles. The 07 Job 2 STs have an additional indentation in the door arm rest that serves as a "door pull" because of the original piss poor design.

To answer your question, a ST manufactured on 11/27/06 WILL have the indented door pull in the arm rest.

thanks! I thought they had changed the door handles too, guess I misread! I guess I get to deal with the ones they have!

They're not so bad really, you get used to them. When I first got in a ST and tried to get, the guys at the lot were laughing at me...I guess a lot of people did that and didn't know where the handle was at first.

I never use mine.....I push the door open with my hand and close it with the pull cups in the arm rest.
