Still trying to silence my interior, got the exterior noises down to a minimum.

No megawatt audio system here, don't need to Dynamat every square inch.

Any suggestions to quiet the rattling rear panels, door lock rods, and strikers?

Thinking 1/4" split wire loom for the door rods, no clue on the panels or strikers.

All body mounts are OK, except for the right firewall upper bushing starting to crumble,

but still tight against the frame. Thanks.

Steve,

I had a rattle or noise as such from my right rear door. Or I thought it was the seat or paneling in that area. I couldnt locate it.:banghead:

My door latches tight. But on a whim I sprayed white lithium grease. On the door latch. The noise stoped. I would not have thought, that was it.

All is quiet now.....:driving:

Man Eddie, if lithium spray is all it takes. :banghead:

I have literally torn this truck apart. I'll try it, thanks.

Eddie, spraying the latches worked! It's been three days without a sound.

Over two years having my truck interior apart. Anybody wanna kick me? :banghead::banghead:

Steve, sometimes it is the oddest thing that helps. I only found it as a fluke. Mostly I was noticing how dry my latches were. Stoping the creaking noise, was a side effect...LOL

It was driving me batts though...

I had a creaking noise in the dash, in front of me, on my t-bird. I shoved a 1/8" thick rubber wedge. In the corner of the dash and windshield to stop it. Tightening dash bolts didnt help.

Still had a slight rattle after spraying all four door latches.

Finished off the remaining noise by lubricating the tailgate strikers.

After two years, lesson learned. Dry latches/strikers = rattles & knocks.

Silence is golden, it's almost a strange sensation now. LOL
