DPFE Sensor/EGR Valve

I searched the posts for the "Check Engine" light problem and found numerous posts instructing me to change the DPFE Sensor and some posts even had the AutoZone part number. Unfortunately - it doesn't fit? My ST is 2001 with Date of 10/00 - which to me

means Job 2, but the DPFE Sensor (SU2308) as posted here - isn't correct? Any help???

For a 2001 Job 2 the EGR part number at Auto Zone was EGR 2007 and it came with a gasket. The sensor was SU2308.

Yes, yours is a Job 2. The original DPFE sensor that came on the ST has since been replaced with a retrofitted version. When I replaced mine, it came with a retrofit kit consisting of the new sensor assembly, and an adapter cable to plug it into the truck. I got mine at a Ford dealer. Unfortunately, I can't give you a part number since I don't have my ST. Can you post a picture?

I called Sam at Bob Utter Ford in Texas and he hooked me up. How come his Ford place is so much better than the ones near me???
