A couple of days ago I got my first check engine light in 4 -12 years. Using a cheap scanner I got off ebay I figured out thanks to this site that it was most likely caused by the DPFE sensor. Also, thanks to this site I found out Ford extended the warranty for this part. Took it to the dealer this morning. Got it replaced free. Thanks for everyone that has posted on this topic and thanks again to Rich for such an invaluable site.
