The radio will not shut off after I shut off the engine nor does the "head light alarm" sound when I open my door. It is my understanding that the door jamb switch is located in the door latch mech. (inside the door). I tried spraying some WD-40 on the mech and open/closed the door a few time. Still not working.

Do I have to remove the door panel to get to the switch? Can someone send a picture of actual location of the switch.

I have a 2005 ST and this just started a few weeks ago.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The radio will play for 10minutes or till you open the door. If you have the lights on auto the reminder will not chime.

My bad. I did not state that I am opening the driver door and the radio continues to play. If I open any other door the radio shuts off as it should.

The lock latch is on the side of the door, Spray cleaner and then a white Lith lube in there...

Open the door and look on the side, you will see where the striker goes into..
