Driver's window won't roll up

Hello all. I have an '01 ST, and I usually leave the driver's window down on warm days like today. Only today, it didn't roll up when I got in it to go home. Nothing happens when I press "up" on the switch. One thing I did notice is that when I press "down" on the switch, I hear a clicking noise somewhere in the dash, under the steering wheel. The switches for the other windows don't cause this at all. Anyone have any ideas as to what this might be? I'm absolutely not a car person...just trying to get an idea as to how much this is going to set me back.
