Who all here has speakers behind the seat, what size and how do you like them? I am interested in some myself but I would like your input. Thanks yall!

HO,

I have the cwells dual 8 box, I am running cheep California acoustics speakers with a 400 watt amp.... You can feel the base no problem, and hear it out side the truck..

It will not win any stereo contests, but sounds dam good....

I also only have the stock head unit too..

HO, it depends on what kind of sound youre looking for... If you just want some good clean bass like Todd said then thats fine. But if youre like me and into hiphop rap and bass cds/test tones etc, 2 8s prolly wont do it for ya. Me, i have a brand new Jl 12w3v3 ported and its still not deep and loud enough for what i like so im getting a second one. Mind you, my entire back seat is covered with a box and you can hear me coming prolly 1/8th mile away, but then thats how i like it. Apparently, you are not wanting to lose the use of your rear seat, so my way wouoldnt work for you.You may be fine with just improving on the stock sub/amp, and the 2 8s will do just that for you! Good luck though!

HO,

I too listen to hip hop music and am running 2 jl 8w3's in a ported box behind the rear seat. I find that the 8's produce enough bass so that you can feel and hear the notes. If you prefer clean bass for rock music I would recommend a sealed enclosure and if you would like to achieve a little louder noise then a ported enclosure would be your choice.

I am planning on the duel 8 box and do not mind cutting the plastic cause I already have another one to replace it but I do want to retain the place for the jack. I listen to all kinda music but I want that thump cause of my younger days. I am 35 but still like to play! THANKS EVERYONE!!!

HO, I was able to keep my jack in the back with the jack bars, a capacitor on the amp and 2 spare belts, 1 tensioner and a wrench to change it...

Check out the Project I wrote on it...

I have a CWells enclosure with a JL 10w3. I listen to alot of music, but hip hop, rap, rock, and pop music most of the time. It provides plenty of bass for me.

From what I understand is the sound develops in the front seat area better with the 8's. And from what I also understand is with any thing bigger than 8's the sound will develop outside the truck. So for a better sound just depends on if you want to hear it inside or outside.

HO, I have a single 8" by JDBoxes and a Kenwood amp ran to it. It sounds great. I listen to Heavy Metal and such and it really has alot of bass to it and will keep up with the double bass that most groups use. There are pics in my library.;)

My library shows my setup, two Image Dynamics 8", these are SQ subs so I'm not a bass head, just like clear tight bass with my varied music interest (mostly rock, but listen to all others as well). Car audio is truly dependent on your musical tastes and your own ear ... want boom, go with bigger sub that's rated for SPL, want clean bass go with 8", I have two but honestly think one 8" is enough in the cabin of the ST.

HO,

I got me two 10" kicker L-7's under my back seats with a nice size box and had my seats raised a bit, sounds great with some deep bass, and i got two 1000 watt amps runnin them mounted on the floor. it took a lot of work, but it all payed off, now my car looks and sounds great. Although the entire system cost $620, plus i got 4 new pioneer 6x8 speakers put in with new DUAL deck.
