Here's a question for you out there that have the alternative for their Sport Trac, how does MPG for gas in your vehicle and MPG for E85 compare? What I am looking for is "I get 15 MPG around town with gas and I get 8 with E85". (former was just an example) :wacko::blink:

From my '05's owners manual (pg. 235). "Because E-85 fuel contains LESS energy per gallon than gasoline, you will experience an INCREASE in fuel consumption. You can expect your MPG'S and your driving range to DECREASE by about 30% compared to gasoline operation."

I ran E85 when I could get it.



Around town with E10, 16.7 mpg vs. 13.9 with the E85



E85 has less power and you should see about a 2 or 3 mpg worsening of the milage. At 2.00 a gallon for E85, versus 3.17 a gallon for E10...the 10-12% reduction in milage is worth the 30% reduction at the pump.
