everytime i hit my brake the emergency brake light comes on. The brake is not "mashed" in and i'vr pulled on the realese and it still won t go away. What to do?

your either low on brake fluid under the hood or the e-brake pedal is moving when you stop..
More then likely your low under the hood...
NOW a word of caution, the fluid is low for a reason, either you have a leak in the system or your pads have worn down and all the fluid is in the system.
IF you fill it back up and some one does the brake job, the fluid will spill all over the place...

And don't forget to open (or have the mechanic open) the bleeder valves on the
calipers when pushing the pistons back in the bores to prevent the old, contaminated
fluid from being pushed back up into the brake lines/system. And then top off with
clean fluid from an unopened container!
