Had an engine code reading at jiffy lube



they said "EVAP EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM (SMALL) LEK"



I think they meant leak and the said the code was 0404, but I am not so sure they remembered.

Check your gas cap. Take it off, put it back on, make sure it's tight.

I had the same code pulled by autozone. He asked me if I filled up w/ gas w/ the engine running. And I didnt. But I knew what my problem was. There is a weird shaped black plastic air box right above the spare tire. You have to remove your spare tire to access it. I removed mine to put shocks on last weekend and didnt route a hose right and it got pinched up and it took a week for the check engine light to come on. Dropped the tire and rerouted the hose to right pos. and checked all other conections and everything seems to be good.
