engine "stumbles" & dies

Engines stumbles & dies when @ idle & stumbles & 2,500 RPM in park. No vacuum leak (changed elbow). !!!! HELP !!!!

You are hitting the rev limiter. Ford has the ECU programed, for no revs past 2500 to 3000. When in park or nuetral. Nothing wrong as long as it runs past those rpms when driving...



For the idle clean the IAC and TB and MAF. see what happens.

How long since fuel filter last changed? How many miles on truck? Air filter in good shape? How many miles on spark plugs? Starting your thread with more basic info will help others give you advice.

Air filters an MAF control engines would have to be 75% pluged, before causing a problem

having to keep replacing the cracked/softning PCV Valve...been an ongoing issue since I've had the ST....Thanks for the input.

He means PCV elbow. Sometimes it pays to use OEM replacement parts.
