Exhaust question FOR both Trucks and opinion needed...

OK, Here is my dilema....



The 2003.....

As you may know or not I have the single in and dual 2.5 inch pipe outs with a delta 40, JBA headers and high flow cat on my 03 ST.....



With only having the 2 trucks I no longer have a daily driver and since i leave for work early I need to quiet the truck down......



I was thinking either a magnaflow kit, or getting a Flowmaster 70 and Installing that.....

I dont care if I go back to single exhaust........

Thoughts and Ideas ??

I am set on installing a muffler in the factory exhaust, Just cut out the muffler and resonator and install a muffler.... Since the kits are the same 2.5 pipe any way..



I don't want it loud cruising,or starting. i want it good sound when getting on it...



Whatcha think ?? Magnaflow ?? Or Flowmaster 70 ???

Todd, I have the Dynomax on my '01 and it is very nice. I also leave early in the a.m. and the only time it my be a little load is warming her up on the really cold days at high idle until she kicks down. Other then that, very pleased.

I usually keep out of the "which exhaust" discussions - Mainly because I like the fact that I seem to be the only one with the Corsa.....



But Todd, for the 4.6 IT HAS TO BE the Corsa. Such a beautiful, low key sound. I wish I could get a sound clip for you guys but I'm about 7000 miles from my Truck right now.



A little pricy for sure, but more than worth it!

I chose the Flowmaster 70 Big Block because I wanted the quietest one on the market. I will see what I can do to get an mp3 recorder so that you can hear it if you don't recall hearing it in Louisville at the '06 meet. I also left the resonater in. Although I have not heard them side-by-side, I feel that the Magnaflow & the Flowmaster 50 SUV sound pretty similar.

of course it has been put on a dyno w/ Nocturnal Performance Intake, Lg MAF, 93 perf SCT tune, Hi-flow Cat's, FLowmaster Mufler, Motoblue Pulley's, Zabteck Throttle Body.

I was thinking the Flow 70 On each one.... Had the 50 On my 03 st for a while and went to the 40.....



Tommy, I know, But still too loud.. Sounds great.. Too loud....



I just hated the sound of the magnaflow on my 04........



UGH I hate decisions !!!!

Todd I run the VForce by Flo-Pro. I must admit it has a very deep, but mellow rumble at idle. It lets out a growl on start up until the idle kicks down. Interior resonance is minimal. If anything it is worth checking into. Just my .02 .

I had a 40 series flowmaster on until I put the random tech, then it was to loud, so I switched to a magnaflow...much better!

I had the magnaflow cat back system in stainless. I was very happy with it.

Got improved MPG and the sound was deeper but not so deep it was loud..
