My buddy is sitting in our parking lot here at work with no forward gears. He has a 2003 F-150 super crew with the 5.4 V8 and 55K miles on it. Ran fine up until this morning about half way to work it started missing gears when it was shifting. Now he can't get a forward gear at all, but reverse still works. Anyone have any ideas?

Check fluid level..

Second thing is in reverse the tranny goes into full pressure mode, Sounds like the converter or some pressure problem.

I think it is safe to say kiss that tranny goodbye.,..

first thing he did was check the fluids, clean and full. I guess it's safe to say he's getting this thing towed as soon as roadside assistance can get here.

Hmmm .... OMG! they slipped him a 5r55e from the ST bin!

Just kidding, I hope that it's not serious! They usually do better with the King of Trucks, so I wonder what happened?:blink:
