factopry sub pop

I have a 2003 Explorer with the factory sub I added a aftermarket head unit, i used wiring harnesses to connect the unit, now when i turn the unit on i get a pop from the sub it only happens when its turned on. Anybody had this problem? and how did you fix it?

just put a resistor inline with your turn on wire. cant remember what resistance (i think around 1000 ohms) but works perfect.
