I want to replace my factory single CD player with a factory 6 CD changer. How do I remove the origional unit?

Easy way, Remove the 2 screws below the radio/above the heater controls....

Than pull the whole thing out....Remove the wires and done..

Harder way is to use 4 coat hangers cut them about 6 inches, place each one in one of the 4 slots on the side of the radio, push them in till the clips are unlocked, grab the radio and pull.

OR go buy the tool to remove..

I highly recommend the First one..

Gauman, I have the removal tools (courtesy of Jeff C). If you want to use them I can snail mail them to you. Just let me know here or email me. I will need to use them again as my audio upgrade is coming to bear so just mail them back as soon as you get the chance. Otherwise, I'd let you hang on to them until somebody else on here requests them, as Jeff did with me.

I did it the first way Todd said.It is easy that way and gives you an idea of how it is in.Be careful on buying a disk changer. If they didn't set it in the shipping mode,ie with a bracket in to hold it, the disk changer may not work._Ron

Thanks to all for the help. It was easy to remove the screws and pop it out that way. Now I have a CD Error. It says the cd deck is full but will not let me eject or load anything. Ron, I think you jinxed me. It was not shipped with a bracket to hold it. Any suggestions as how to fix? Help!

I sold this deck to gauman2 and no there are no CD's in the deck.

I am really unhappy about what he is experiencing with the CD Player. I hope a resolution can be found.

I wish I would of done some more research and found that there was a needed shipping bracket.

I am not sure, but I think if it was ever turned upside down it may have jumped off the brackets inside.I have not taken one apart. But maybe there is a way to get it apart and set it back in them._Ron

I have tried all the recomendations but nothing has worked. Maybe it needs to come apart, anyone have any success with this?
