Hey guys for anyone who upgraded there head uniots and had the sat radio option. Was there a seperate plug behind the stock stereo that i could just transfer to a aftermarket sat. radio plug? Or is it wires into the stereo through the harness?

There is a separate satellite radio plug. However, it has a harness that is unique to the input on the radio. You could try splicing, but I am not sure of the interaction between the receiver and the radio.

Well that sucks, DO you know if the antenna will fit into one of those aftermarket headunit made boxes that sirus makes? Or is the ant. plug diffrent also?

If so does any one want to buy a sat radio set up for there truck?

There are (2) connections into the radio head unit:

1: From the DLP (digital link processor) module - the videotape-sized metallic casing that converts the satellite signal to digital, also connected via coax cable to the sat radio antenna; and

2: From the body wire harness to radio, usually via jumper.

I'd be more concerned about #2; #1 connector shouldn't be difficult to find.

Your question depends upon the year of your ST and the type of radio you have. TERK makes a harness and adapter that plugs into the radio between the harness the the radio to add satellite radio for about $129.00. The ford version WILL NOT work on the 07 ST with 6CD/MP3. A new adapter is in the works and expected out any day (July 06) that WILL FIT the 07. All the prior units are fine if you have the AUX or SAT button on the head unit. Crutchfield and several others sell the product. See it here.
