Question for anyone that may have tried this. I have a 2010 STA, factory sub, no nav. I am in the process of putting a system in while keeping the factory H/U for now. From the factory pins out for the subwoofer, is that a line out feed? I believe it is as the line connects to the sub amp as the back of the truck so I don't think it's a powered feed. There are 5 or six wires in the connector and I found documantation to show there's a spkr + and - as well as power, ground, and remote turn on. I tapped into it and converted spker + and - to an RCA allowing me to connect it to my aftermarket amp.

I put a line out converter at the front for the amps to my interiors but didn't want to tap the rear line for the sub. I wanted to use the sub line.

Anyone have experience using the factory wire in the back? Is it just a signal feed or do I need to put a line out converter on there too?

Thanks in advance... I'll have the build thread up soon... need to convert the photos!

When i changed my speakers in the doors I just noted the wires and tapped in with a high to lo converter and then ran RCA to the amp....

As for that, i cant help with colors and stuff as i did not write a single thing down..

Thanks Todd.. I'm good with the wire colors. I have the diagram for that. That's how I figured out the Sub + and - in the rear... I'm almost done building the sub box to fit in the factory location so I will be able to test fire the sub and amp, hopefully this weekend.. We'll know if the lines to the factory sub are high level or low level soon enough!

Like I said, because the lines went into a factor amp, i'm pretty confident they are low level inputs and don't need an LOC.
