I also debadged the back of the trac, and with the extra decal lying around, thought i'd put it to good use!

The system sounds awesome. with the back seats down it is unreal, but with the seats back up, you do loose a little bit. But i have all the audio equipment now and everything is wired in with 4awg or 8awg wire so if i ever get around to what i REALLY want to do (2 captain chairs in the back and a console that runs from the front to the back with a monitor and subs in it...1 day...) then most of my effort will be on the build of the console alone...but for now, this setup is exactly the sound i wanted...SPL meets SQ...so to speak....

Looks ok. I really like the subs. I'm planning on picking up a pair of Kickers myself. First I need to figure out what (if anything) I'm going to do with my two JBL1202D subs I have collecting dust.

The way I understand it, and my experiance had discovered that your bass shouldn't be effected by having the seats up or down because bass isn't directional like your front stage highs & mids. Your enclosure is sealed ,so unless you have ports somewhere (doesn't look it) that are being obstructed by the seat, you shouldn't lose anything. /shrug.

That box looks really good but why did you carve up the plastic cover? I have a very similar setup and did not cut anything except an additional hole for the second sub. Then made a new speaker cover out of 1/8" MDF and covered in speaker material.

psycareyo - it's not like i'm loosing a terrible amount of bass because the seats are up, i just "feel" more bass when they are down. i understand what you are saying. Also, the air space required by one of these subs in a sealed enclosure is .7 cuft to a max of 2.5 cuft, so the min with 2 of these is about 1.4 cuft. i am most certain that i am a little under that requirement, so that too impact the performance of the subs. if i were to have to captain chairs in the back and build a box in between, i think i would be better in the range needed for these bad boys.

Chad - i like your finish better for sure, it's nice an clean. i tried, but my problem was that i couldn't get the plastic (where i cut it at the bend) to go over the sub box. the box i built is taller then yours, and a bit wider as well, so i had no choice but to do that. i will still look at tidying it up a bit - the side the the amp on it.

thanks Woppy, and Mike, i love those wheels too!

RS,

After thinking a little, I hope I did not offend you.:D I can now see where your boxes are bigger and that may have caused fit problems.. By the way your ST looks sweet, I want to get 2 toned rims (silver/black) on my ST real bad..

Chad - not at all ! no worries, no offense, i would have loved to keep it clean as possible, but the box was larger and it just wouldn't have fit.

Thanks Shaun - yes, it's sounding great too now!
