files on computer

I was looking around and thought I'd ask the gurus on here what these files might be.

They are located in my HP Administrator/Local Settings/Temp. file. they are:



WER2be7.dir00

WERecfc.dir00



Just wondering if anyone might have a clue. Thanks.

Probably nothing. Download and run a copy of CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) and see if it deletes them. Since they are in a temp folder I see no reason they can't be deleted if you think they might be harmful.

Nope, already tried that and it doesn't touch them. They have files in them that have a bunch of jiberish then lists stuff for Microsoft Outlook Express. Then others have like jiberish andmy contacts and then more jiberish. I know that you can get rid of most in the "temp" file, but I did that once and I had some programs quit working. I know, doesn't make sence, but I swear that's what happened.:wacko:

What I could find is it might be the Windows Error Reporting. When your system hangs, does it come up with a window saying do you want to report this. If it does this is probably the wer report._Ron
