Hey guys. I am going to purchase a new Pioneer CD player as soon as it goes on sale. I would to install it myself, but I have never attempted to put one in myself. I have always had Tweeter or Best Buy install one before, but I really don't want to pay the extra money to have it installed. I have looked for a installation guide on here but the link doesn't work. I have found a wiring diagram for it, but is there any step by step guides you guys could send my way?

jEeezy,

Do yourself a favor. Buy an instalation kit. The kit will give youu the adapters to fit a DIN into the opening we have. Get a wiring harness. Sit in your house and connect red to red, blue to blue, etc. Once everything is complete, hook the plugs up, plug in the antenna, and insert the radio. All done.

from Crutchfield you get the installation kit and everything you need for free with the purchase of a head unit, as well as the tools to remove the stock radio.

Circuit city usually installs free. I know how to do it but when they will do it for free, I'll let them. They installed 2 dash units for me and I'm satisfied.

I just installed a CD player from Crutchfield, they were awesome. Wiring harness, mounting kit, wiring diagram, step by step instructions, everything was included (even the Ford radio removal tools). The installation was very easy. I could not imagine paying 50$ or so for someone else to install.

Recently installed a Crutchfield am/fm/cd and agree w/faroutsquarecat post, it was fairly easy to install and came complete with everything I needed for the job. I did the soldering of the plugs 1st, then everything else pretty much took care of itself, the minor questions I had were answered by Crutchfield tech support promptly and correctly. I couldn't be more pleased with this experience.
