Flatbed for my ST

Has anyone ever built or purchased a flatbed for their sport trac ?

Please send photos or any suggestions of a pre-fab or custom fabricator in Southern California.

I live in Thousand Oaks,Ca.91360, I have gotten a couple bids for $3-3,500,but can't justify spending that, I also have called around to see what I can sell my stock bed for ($2-300 ),to use toward the cost of the flatbed,but again it isn't adding up to keep my interest in pursuing the flatbed. Of course I have never seen a photo of one done yet,so that could discourage me altogether if it looks really lame.

Since you're in SoCal. you're in the perfect area for something like this. Tons of Fabrication Offroad Shop's around there. Lots of Race Shop's out there.



Check out the Vendor Section of the explorerforum.com or the Offroad Fabrication Section on that site. There's plenty of member's over there that would build a custom flatbed for you.



I'll post a couple questions over there and try to find someone to do this for you.



Where exactly in Southern California are you so I can tell them?

Everyone has their own use for the ST.

I just have to say it. I would rather buy an old truck for a flat bed. Than cut up the good looks, of a sport truck.....

I was thinking of doin this until my son asked for the spt trc when he graduates wash,youth academy soon it will be his turn

Check out BTF Fabrications, I was told they'd be a good shop to use.

I bet with some pressure treated lumber or the Trex stuff you could easily build a nice wood flat bed......

Those are crazy prices. What kind of flatbed are you looking for and what are you looking to do with the flatbed? Just trying to get an idea of coming up with a design for you.

Jerry, one of the bids was from BTF in Upland,Ca. everybody is telling me it's labor intensive.



I'd be open for anyone contacting me for a better bid,anything under $2,000.
