I added a roof rack to mine this past weekend. It's a combination of Bronco II tracks and Jeep Cherokee Crossbars, both shortened.

I loaded my little ball cap with wheels yesterday and I knew it was a pretty heavy load. On the way home there was ZERO flex in the rear suspension so I thought I had better take a look under it. Hmmm, yep sitting on the axle stops!:sad: Sooooo it's going to be a slow cautious ride in the right lane up the interstate this morning for about 65 miles and get this thing unloaded. Looks kinda like a low-rider!:grin:

These are new? I've seen these every since I arrived in Poland. Fiat makes them too, so expect their version to come to town as well, perhaps as Dodges.

I've thought of helper springs. I looked up the load I was carrying to calculate the weight I had in it since you questioned weight carrying ability in an earlier post.

I had the batteries right in the center of the van, up to the front seats. The front suspension/CV axles did not seem to be any any bad angles.

Payload =1600 lbs

Three Arctic Breeze DC Powered AC units @ 200 lbs each

18 Group 31PC2150 S ODYSSEY Drycell Batteries

31-PC2150 @ 77 lbs each. (600 lbs + 1386 lbs =1986 lbs)

plus a couple hundred +/- pounds of misc items.

So with it was loaded somewhere around 2200 lb +/-.
