for those with factory oil coolers

Todd Z has. Look in his library or search. Not sure if he did a project. This is the trans cooler not engine oil. Trac doesnt have an engine oil cooler.
 
If you are talking about the cooler in the lower front behind the grill. That is for the trans.

nope i am talking about the cooler that is connected to the oil filter area, like i said as you can see my truck came from the factory with one. i wish it was light out because i would take a pic right now, grrr.
 
its wierd, i was looking and mine takes a PH2 any info is great, when i look on autosone.com it says mine has a oil cooler, if not it would take a PH8A , neeed the infooooo LOL
 
ok ok , wierd, i just checked and welll ummmm hhmmm lol i cant seeem to find it, but then why all the hub bub about "do you have an oil cooler or not ?" i take back any wrong info i said, but can someone shed some light on this subject? . yes i have 2 coolers, tanny and power steering, soo ummm lol wellll ummm , where is this soooo callled oil cooler? lolol ..:unsure:
 
Its all a mistery to me. I do know the first job 1 tracs used a diferent oil filter. FL1A or PH8A. FL820S on job 2 tracs. Which ever you have use motorcraft. Frams are not as well made.
 
i just looked in my parts catalog and there is no engine oil cooler listed for ANY year Gen 1 Trac. Gen 2 4.0L Tracs have them, though. They still take the FL820S oil filter.
