What do you guys think of the overall new shape and form? It looks okay, but very unNASCAResque. Looks more like an import racer though.

Should be interesting... I'm looking forward to see what the drivers will do with the new car in the end..........if it's safer, then it should be better??

I've been vocal about the COT in past posts...

It'll probably work for the better, once NASCAR and the teams tweak the bugs out. I've heard that the cars are unstable at speed and in packs, which almost stands to reason. Everything will be worked out in the end and the cars will be faster and safer, in time.

Reminds me of F1, F1 is going through some changes to try to slow the cars down; and not that long ago people were wondering if the cars would be as fast as the turbo'd ones prior.

In recent testing at Daytona a Penske Dodge COT ran a little over 191 mph with a 1 1/8" restrictor plate. Kurt Busch said it handled well at speed but he was not running in a pack.

** Edmund's web page has a GLAIRING CRITICAL error....
Chip Ganassi Racing's Chevy Impala SS for Juan Pablo Montoya shows...

Uh Chip Ganassi runs Dodges.... and in two years, I expect them to switch to Toyota.

I've questioned the COT since it was first announced. Many teams voiced opposition to it. I don't think NA$CAR is going to back away anytime soon.

Dodge's COT: Avenger

Dodge's STD: Charger

Chevy's COT: Impala SS

Chevy's STD: Monte Carlo SS

Ford's COT: Fusion

Ford's STD: Fusion

Toyota's COT: Camry

Toyota's STD: Camry

Looks a lot like a marketing game to me for Chevy and Dodge. We'll see I guess.
