as the fleet admin for my company, i lease/buy about 30 vehicles a year. and for the past 2 years i have been on a huge toyota kick. i had 30 ford focus wagons up until 2004, then i switched over to toyota matrix and camary's for my fleet. ford just realized i dropped off the radar screen and the ford national account manager stopped by to discuss why no more fords ( except for my trac ! ). we had a nice lenghty conversation and i explained that my resale at auction was yeilding me about 70% residule versus the focus residule of about 40-50%. also the maintanance repairs were reduced by 40%. i also voiced my concern that it took me almost 1 month to order my 07 trac because ford did not update the leasing company as to the job 2 changes. so every time they attempted to order my 07 it was bounced back because the job 2 options were not available. that has been resolved.

i also showed him this great site and told him to have his people monitor it a little more.

well. the next day i got a brand new v6 fully loaded fusion dropped off at my job to use for a few weeks. then after that i get a freestyle. they want my business bad.

i guess i will have to see, but its tough for me to leave toyota.

I would drop Toyota a little hint about Ford trying to get your business back then see what Toyota offers you. LOL

P.S. You lucky S.O.B.!!!! Try all the auto makers. Maybe you can keep these free test trials coming for awhile.

me, toyota is good that when i was considering back then, they gave me a matrix, camary, and scoin xb to use. i have had pontiac, dodge and chevy drop off demo's over the years.

nice perks from my job , including a free sport trac !! :D

How'd you like the toaster, I mean XB?...LOL I'm considering getting one for my wife to drive with my logo on it. She will have a 60 mile round trip commute next fall and with my huge logo on the van I can write off all the miles as advertising. Her daily driver M3 will get trashed on that commute and parking in a public parking garage.

sst, the xb is a great car . i have one in my fleet now and just signed paperwork for a new one. for $15- 16k , good value. it has plenty of room, great gas mileage (30-mpg ), beleive it or not -good handling. comfy inside as well. jus make sure you get one with the center console, otherwise no place to rest your right arm. it also comes standard with traction control. plenty of back seat room too.

you will get used to the looks , everyone else might not !!

andrew, have it 2 days and i put 175 miles on it so far, alot was sitting in traffic on the long isle expwy :(

so far i like the v6 power but alot of tourque steer ( common in front wheel drive ). looks nice overall, wheels could be bigger maybe 17's, comfy inside. it does not have tilt wheel, and i thought it was a little tricky finding the ignition switch ( kind of hidden ). i thought the leather was of pretty good quality for a 23k vehicle. give me a couple more days and i will give you some more of my thoughts... for what its worth ! :D.

one thing.. whats up when when you turn off the traction control, and get on it the motor revs right up to the rev limiter and it feels like it is about to stall out real quickly.?
