Ford Factory Navigation

As I was (a) either surfing the internet or (b) reading a car publication (I really cannot recall which, as this was a few days ago), I came across a Ford with the factory navigation unit. Unlike most, however, this unit showed the maps much like Google's hybrid shows maps--roads overlaid on satellite imagery.



The simply question: Is Ford offering this with 08+ models? If so, that'd be very, very cool.

I think you are referring to the 3D navigation view. Ford's factory navigation is supplied by Pioneer, and my Pioneer AVIC-Z1 has 3D Map imaging so it's very possible that the Ford factory unit does as well.

If you mean the angle view, that's not it. I saw a navigation unit (it could have been in a concept, though) where the map background, instead of merely being green for terra, grey/yellow/red for roads, blue for water, etc., it used background images similar to Google Maps actual photos.

Adam, I think you are referring to Aerial Photography, right? That would be nice to have.
