Here is a link to a Top Gear video. The host bought a Ford GT and had some issues with the car he waited 2 years for and paid a small fortune for. I would still love to have one but can't see why you'd buy one as an everyday driver. A car that was semi reliable would be nice.

In a post on the site, it did say that some of the problems were with items added to the car....so that MAY be a source of most the problems.

I just thought some out there might enjoy this fairly long video. I hope i did the link OK

Actually, all of the problems Jeremy has had with his GT has been directly related to the aftermarket alarm/imboiliser installed when the car got to the UK.

Beyond that, though, the GT did have many initial problems; but don't forget that the GT is a proper supercar (whereas a Z06 and Viper are not) and as such, will suffer from typical supercar shortcomings. Even though cars like the Carrera GT and SLR are setting bar higher, supercars will probably always have problems.

I have one and labeling this car unreliable is absolutely untrue. My car is rock solid and it is by no means close to the stock HP level anymore. These cars are special, anyone that has spent seat time in one knows this. If you ever get the chance take it !
