Turned over my truck this morning and it initially failed to start. I turned it over again and after it started I heard fuel spraying out from under the driver side of the truck... near the fuel filter, but tough to see because of the spraying...

HELP.

Rusted out fuel line or you have a bad connection on the filter itself. Also there are plastic lines user there as well, might have cracked. Turn the truck off disconnect the battery and check out the lines/ filter. Did youhave the filter replaced recently? Do these steps and check it out tell us what you find.

As it turns out... the front fuel line was missing a retention clip!?! $8 part at the Ford Dealer and we're back in business... Still not sure how the clip was missing, other than there being a RECALL (not known by the Ford Dealer) on the aftermarket Purolator Fuel Filter they installed during the 90k Scheduled Maintenance back in 2008! (safercar.gov for recalls)

Tomorrow I'll contact the service department to get to the bottom of the issue.

They might've installed the filter and broke the clip but it to awhile to work it's way out, either way I'd have them pay for the replacement clip and labor fees. Glad to hear you're back on the road.
